From January through June 2012, we’ll be doing a series of classes that take you on a tour of your own body. Each series will focus on a part of the body, how it functions in our lives and the connections it has to other parts of the body (that means that even though the focus is on one part, the movements will include and improve functioning all over). We will also have some stand-alone classes that either review & integrate the information we’ve been covering, or that act as a sort of palate cleanser before the next series. These series are happening at Studio Sol, Sundays from 6pm to 7pm.
The schedule will be developed as we go, but here’s what I have scheduled so far:
January 22 – February 12 – The Neck Tour: Starts with a “classic” Feldenkrais® lesson that supports & relieves the neck, and then moves on to explore detailed movement of the 7 cervical vertebrae, connections between your neck and your eyes, mouth, jaw, and shoulders, and more!
February 26 – March 18 – The Rib Tour: Explores various functions and movements of the ribs.
