			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From January through June 2012, we&#8217;ll be doing a series of classes that take you on a tour of your own body.  Each series will focus on a part of the body, how it  functions in our lives and the connections it has to other parts of the  body (that means that even though the focus is on one part, the movements will include and improve functioning all over).  We will also have some stand-alone classes that either review &amp; integrate the information we&#8217;ve been covering, or that act as a sort of palate cleanser before the next series. These series are happening at <a title="Studio Sol Location" href="http://www.conexionesportland.com/organization/contact-us/" target="_blank">Studio Sol,</a> Sundays from 6pm to 7pm.</p>
<p>The schedule will be developed as we go, but here&#8217;s what I have scheduled so far:</p>
<p><strong>January 22 &#8211; February 12 &#8211; The Neck Tour:</strong> Starts with a &#8220;classic&#8221; Feldenkrais® lesson that supports &amp; relieves the neck, and then moves on to explore detailed movement of the 7 cervical vertebrae, connections between your neck and your eyes, mouth, jaw, and shoulders, and more!</p>
<p><strong>February 26 &#8211; March 18 &#8211; The Rib Tour: </strong> Explores various functions and movements of the ribs.</p>
<p>Watch for more posts with commentary about each tour and the lessons in the series.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Happy New Year 2012!</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s start the new year with a really good winter lesson &#8230; actually, two lessons, both of which have some claim to support your immune system.</p>
<p><strong>Class time and location:</strong> Sunday, January 8th at 6pm, at <a title="Studio Sol Location" href="http://www.conexionesportland.com/organization/contact-us/" target="_blank">Studio Sol</a>.  This class will be a stand-alone class and not part of a series.  Expect the class to go until about 7:15pm because it will be two separate lessons.</p>
<p><strong>Class description: </strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>The first lesson is active, will heat you up, and get some blood rushing to your head for increased energy.  It also puts a squeeze on the thyroid gland, which reportedly will help your immune system function better.</p>
<p>The second lesson is called &#8220;equalizing the nostrils&#8221; and is a great lesson for clearing the sinuses (tissues will be provided!).</p>
<p>Both of these lessons are very fun and/or funny to do.  Don&#8217;t eat right before class, and be prepared to feel a little silly.  I hope you can make it!</p>
